Encore size and Weight

Looking to put together a light weight rifle...

Anybody that can post suggestions for building a light Encore in 7-08.  Scope choices, stock choices, sources, etc.  Was planning to go with a 23" barrel of light contour, lightest stock I can find with a good soft recoil pad and a scope on the order of a compact 2-7 or a fixed 6 power.  Wanted for my general walkaround hunting rifle for Antelope and Deer.

What weight do you think I can come up with?  Would 6.5 pounds loaded with web sling be possible without buying kevlar stock and carbon wrapped custom barrel.

Any other caliber suggestion?
Be honest with yourself.  Can you guarantee you would hit a paper plate at 250 yards...100 yards...50 yards?  Then you have no business replacing the plate with a live animal.

I think you are looking at a full custom job. And even then 6.5#, might be wishful thinking.  There are ways to shave ounces off no doubt. But it is going to cost $$$. It all depends on how money you want to spend.  I know these comments don't help much, but this might. Call a maker/smith, such as, eabco, or ssk, and ask what is the lightest setup they can do for you. O. :D
