Eastern PA deer hunting question
« on: August 21, 2004, 09:08:19 AM »
I am looking for a PA hunting location that is closer to NY than my old area in central PA. Currently considering hunting on PA SGL 127 in the Poconos.

The largest section is aprox 4miles X 4 miles and would take a loooong time to adequately scout. I did about 2 hours of hicking there and found MUCH more bear sign than deer sign.

Can anyone tell me about the whitetail concentration there? Hunting sucess?
I have to start scouting in a particular section of this huge piece of land. Any suggestions as to which section may be more productive for whitetails?

Appreciate your input.

Used to live ther anf the territory is relatively big ,but the hunting pressure there is hugr!  If you go in far enogh to the center you might and I mean might find less hunting pressure , but I doubt it!
