I know Iver-Johnson made a "Pony", is it the same as the Colt?  A little more info on the design and caliber would be helpful.

It probably could, but it would be a lot cheaper to go buy a Bersa 380 for under $200.  By the time a gunsmith figures out a way to change the trigger and associated hardware, then makes the parts from scratch, you'd probably be out about $500, maybe more.  Sorry, but Colt designed it as a DAO, and there's not much left to do but shoot it DA or trade it off!

Colt also made a Mustang which was a single action .380 and a great gun.  You could proably pick one up cheaper then having the pony made to SA, if it could be done.

Though the Mustangs are going for about $450 used now, since Colt quit making them.  I would love to have one, wish they would come back out with them.

There is a gunsmith that speaclized in Mustangs and Ponys but I can't remember his name.  I'll look around and see if I can find the information.

I can't find that gunsmith     I'm thinking his name was Chris McCormick but I could be way off.

Are you thinking of Chip McCormick?  I'm sure he has a website.  If I had a memory, I could tell you what it is!
