24" bullberry and 25-06???

First time poster, long time lurker...
After many years of denial, I finally have admitted to being recoil sensitive. This is a good thing because now I have a legit reason to hang up the 300 win mag and buy a 25-06 Encore. I've hooked up with Fred from Bullberry and ordered a 24" heavy varmint SS barrel with his hanger system forearm. Does anybody have some input on what grain and type of bullet seems pattern best w/ this type of set up?
I will be using this gun for TX whitetails and long range antelope and ram.
Can't wait for the new toy to get here.

Though my '06 isn't an Encore, it loves 100grainers over a healthy dose of IMR4831. The best bullets are 100g Ballistic Tips and the new Triple Shocks from barnes.

I don't have a encore 2506 but I have a bolt action 25 and it likes the sierra 117gr. flatbase bullets.

That sounds exactly like the barrel for I was thinking about. If you don't mind, how much is it setting you back $$$.

Noexperience with 25-06 but am app. 30 days from a 23 3/4" SS .250 improved from Bullberry. Research shows it should be a very easy round to get accuracy from. Am expecting to use primarily Sierra bullets since the Sierra manual has .250 40 deg. Ackley data. Ditto comment on 117 gr. flatbase, bought box to try once fireformed.
I am also aap. 2 weeks away from testing out a 15" .260 bbl. from Bullberry. I am in the final stages of "finishing" the custom wood grip set from fred. It is high grade blk. walnut and is stunning. I have also purchased and hand finished the rifle stock set from fred (high grade "paradox ~ again stunning wood.) I am impressed thus far with the wood quality and bbl. quality. The bbl. closes on the action like a "vault". can't wait to begin working up loads ! I'm expecting to take it to a S.C. deer hunt end of September using 120 gr. speer hot core. !
PS, any .250 improved Encore users

Without knowing what you want the gun for or what the twist rate is everything is a guess. I shoot the .257 AI, which is about the same as the .25-06. I like the 87 grn. Serria bullets for varmints, best point blank range ane the Serria 117 grn. SPT Pro Hunter for deer size game. These bullets are both very accurate in my rifle which has a 1 in 12 twist.

Just got back from the range with my 25-06. Very happy with it, first encore I've owned and boy do I like it. After I sigthed it in, with 100gr Sierra Gameking with 41 grains of IMR 4350, .75 MOA......
Can't wait for deer season
