My son ,"High Brass" , bought me a Rem. 7600 7mm-08 with laminated stocks. I put a Leupold VX2 1x4 on it. It's a dandy.

Yep, a couple of Sako rifles.  One in 308 and another in 280.  I dont make a lot of money, but the prices were too good to pass on.  And gratefully my wife understands my love of rifles and hunting.

This year (in order) I've added a No1 MkIII SMLE sporter in .303, a BAR 1 in .308, an Excalibur Exomag 200 lb crossbow and a Winchester 94 AE in .356 Winchester. 8)

All but the SMLE (being a boring old bolt action  ) have an excellent chance of finding their way into the deer woods this year.
Hunting is Exciting!  Bolt actions are BORING!!
Don't mix the two!

Just a set of laminated stocks and a 209 x 50 barrel for my encore.  Oct 1 ain't here yet, so plenty of time for more "necessities".

Venison probably costs me $250/lb once you figure in all the essential "tools of the trade".

Just a new Savage M10 in .270 WSM.  Was looking forward to having my custom .35 Whelen ready but work has interfered with it's progress.  Lawdog

Lemme see:  The T/C Encore .30/06

(used) CVA Mountain rifle (which Im working a few bugs out of.)

And possibly a new Lyman Deerstalker muzzel loader (in case the problems with the CVA dont clear up.)

But heck, deer season is still 2 months away.........too much time to spend money if you ask me  :-D .

Willis, your comment is hilarious  :)  :-D . But on a topic note, my only new toy is a Traditions Hawken that should be arriving at my local gunshop within 2 weeks.

I've already thought of a half dozen or more items left out above in my reply including a couple guns. But as of today I can also add a Horton Crossbow since Bama is letting us use them in bow season this year for the first time. I can now again go bow hunting even with my bum shoulders. Well I can if I can cock the rascal.

I got a new Browning BAR in 30-06.

I've got loads worked up for 180Grn Sierra Game Kings and 180Grn Nosler Ballistic Tips.  Working up loads now for 165Grn Nosler Partitions and 180Grn Sierra ProHunters (flat based).

Here is a couple of 100Yd 3 shot groups with the GK's & BT's

.................................squares are 1/2"................................Shoot-N-C is 5 1/2" Diameter
[/img]

If the ProHunters & Partitions shoot as well as these two, I'll be tickeled.

I bought a Tikka t3 lite stainless in .30-06 and put a weaver grand slam 3-10x40 on it (shooting great). A few new grunt calls and one of those can calls oh a squirrel call too. A ton of ammo in different calibers. I just bought a 2002 chevy trailblazer. Wow, now I need to win the lottery and try to pay for this stuff.

Since we're getting away from 'shootin' irons" I guess I could add a few more myself.

I bought a 2002 S10 ext. cab 4X4 short box, a Bushnell Rangefinder, some bigger bino's and some new ATV toys as well.  I also picked up a battery operated reciprocating saw that I hope to use for chunking up a moose this fall.  :D
