IOR Bucuresti rifle scope

Greetings.  I need to re-scope my African rifle (HS Precision in .375RUM).
I sold my illuminated VXIII 1.5-5X20 to my PH last year, as I wanted a bit more magnification.  I want no more than 2.5 at the low end, as dangerous game is a possibility in the future.  Also, I don't want a huge objective lense so that I can use lower mounts.  I keep coming back to the IOR 2.5-10X42 hunting scope.  All the reviews of IOR I've found are glowing, but they are all on the tactical line.  I've also read that some of their scopes are made by Meopta.  Anyone have any input?  Any other suggestions?

My only IOR was a fixed 4 power tactical scope I had on an AR for awhile. Nice enough glass, tough as a tank, but had that bulky/heavy commie look to it. I seem to remember the eye relief being a little narrow, but I could be wrong.

Never seen anyone use the hunting ones.
