Air rifle trigger jobs?
« on: August 22, 2004, 07:33:04 PM »
I have a Beeman R7 and even though the trigger is pretty decent out of the box - very crisp , I would prefer a lighter pull. I adjusted the trigger screw but still not quite where I would like it to be.

I was shooting the R7 today with a newly mounted red dot sight and shot the best group I ever shot with this rifle. With a lighter trigger I feel I could have done better yet.

Anyone know if an air rifle smith can safely lower it below the factory settings?

Yes, they can safely milk it down to a downright scary setting from what I understand. The important part, though, is the fact it will shoot much smoother after a tune. This will help your follow-through, and your accuracy will increase as a result.
