Parallax Adjustment
« on: August 25, 2004, 06:37:00 AM »
I know about parallax and its effects. On a scope with an adjustable objective how do you use it to correct the problem. On the scope I have the objective has been marked off for different yardages but if you set the scope for a certain yardage all you get is a blurr. If I don't pay any attention to the markings and just dial the objective to get a clear sight picture the yardage markings are way off. Is this normal or is it me or the scope. It is a Simmons by the way and other than this it seems to be a good scope. It has held up to a 30-06 for many range sessions. THANKS

You use the eye adjustment to focus the crosshairs. You use the parallex to bring the target into focus. The sight picture should not be blury.
