Long range rifle

Do any of you load differently for Long Range Rifle side matches?
I developed my load for shooting 100 yards and more,  they worked pretty well so I use the same thing for main match, but they are pretty stout for main match, 38.5 gr FFF .030" fiber wad and a 255 grain pan lubed bullet.  I figure this is backward from most folks, ie. loading for main match first.
Since I'm thinking about something lighter for the basic shooting, I was curious if anyone else had two or even three different loads for different events?

:D  Howdy!

It depends on what I wont to shot, my main match loads are 20grs. of 777  and use it on side matches also, but I also use 8grs. of tightgroup for side matches
In long range 45-70 again 50 grs. of 777 with a 486 bullet; and 30grs. of 3031 with a 405gr, this works well for me.

I guess it would have been better if I'd been more specific.  I was refering to pistol length cart. rifles, where you you use the same rifle or cartridge or caliber for main match and long range side matches

Since I'm blind as a bat without my glasses and I have to wear my reading glasses to see the front sights, I always wondered if I could shoot the long range matches with this set of limitations.  I know that young eyes do a much better job than my 57 years old ones but is this something I could do without too much of a handicap?

Ranger, do you wear prescription glasses?  It may be a bit expensive, but I'd bet you could work with an optrimist and have a set made specifically for shooting.  You could have him move the "center" moved to one side so that the aligned when your cheek was on a rifle stock.  I know that mine are enough out of focus in that position I do better with out them.

To Cheyenne Ranger. The next time you are at a shoot find someone who is using a tang peep sight.  Ask them if you could look through it. You might be surprise how much this makes it much easier for the eye to focus through one of these things. Try it, it may help you a lot!
Do a lot of CAS, and BPRC. Love to shoot them Buffalo Guns, Both silhuette and long range.
