I bought a used set of rcbs 41 mag dies, and the sizer / de-primer die seems really tight. working the handle almost tore the bolts right outa my bench! cases were lubed properly. inside of die seems to be clean. I don't know what is causing this, any help appreciated!

Your chamber may be over sized, or the sizeing die alittle tight. If your going to load alot of ammo for it I would recomand the Dillon dies, especially if you will be loading cast bullets. They cost more but they are worth every penny. If you`ll not be loading alot at least get a carbide sizer. With the carbide sizer you do not need to lube your cases and they are better than the old steel sizeing dies do any way.

I've noticed brand new dies can be very hard to use and have learned to swab the inside with some lube before using. But I'm stumped on used dies, unless the seller cleaned them very thoroughly. Was the die totally dry to start? That's why I only use carbide for my hand gun cases - lubing is too much hassle. Good luck.

toss them in the tumbbler for a good polshing an then lube it up a little an if that still dont work clean them again an send them back to rcbs they got life time warrenty so they will look it all over good an do some thing if not they will give you a new die

I suggest that you check the stamp on the top of the die to make sure that it is actually a 41 Mag die and not something else!

With used stuff, it could be anything!
Also it could be a manufacturing defect!
