while surfing the internet the other day i came across an article about the adobe wall incident . it was about a man who shot an indian at a distance of 1300 or 1500 yards with a sharps rifle. it also had some so called expert who said it was'nt possible and was invited to a balistic's range in nevada and was proven wrong, anyway it was a good and humorous article, has any one seen it ?

That was just on Wild West Tech on the History Channel last night! It was said to have really happened and a primitive military wagon wheel "odometer" was used to verify the distance of 15xx yards. Pretty impressive! EDIT: The episode was called "Hunting Tech" if you get a chance to watch it.

Here's another account of the incident. A google search for "adobe walls incident" will help ya.
