Is anyone going muzzleloader hunting this year and where are you going?
I am leaving on the 10th of September to NW Kansas. I have spotted a Big Mulie. I am guessing him just over 29"'s wide, with 5 on each side. I hardly sleep anymore and when I do thatÂ’s all I dream about. Dave.

If the season ends with the word HUNTING I will be there, going to see if the Remington ML will do as well in the field as on paper. :D    JIM

ME! Here in PA. Maybe a field back behind my house (if I can get permission from the landowner [that equals venison; already spotted 4 does and there is NO hunting back there which means no hunting pressure]. I'll be using my brand spankin new Traditions Hawken. Hopefully it'll take a doe...or two :grin:  :)

Reckon I'll give it a shot or several if I can get the ole bod to co-operate.
We 're allowed 6 (no more than 2 bucks)during muzzle-loading season this year.Now if I can just remember where I put those dang balls an powderhorn...

The new Lyman Deerstalker should be in on Tuesday and when it comes October 30 will not get here quick enough.  Ill be stompin the grounds of southeastern and south central New Hampshire.  I may even venture a bit Northward.  But its NH all the way!

Our muzzleloader season opens on Oct 18, and I will be out with my Lyman Deerstalker for it's 13 th year. Hunting will be done within  3 square miles.  I just had it out today and worked up a load using 80g of Goex FFg and a Hornady Ball-et. It makes a 2" group at 80 yards.

I love using the muzzleloaders. As a rule, I hunt with my TC Black Diamond that I won in a raffle. I set it up with look under mounts with a Burris 2.5X scope. I usually load it with a 300 grain sabot with 150 grains of H777( Yeah, it kicks but shoots well)  . I hunt my home state of Massachusetts which allows you to use a ml during the shotgun season.

So from November 29th to December 31st, I will be in the woods with that gun.

But I will also be hunt the state of New Hampshire earlier on Halloween weekend,but with my 14" .50 caliber M82 Kahnke pistol. I have a 2x Burris scope and shoot 250 grain sabots with 100 gr of H777. I hope to connect with that gun. I killed a wild boar with that gun and load at a preserve and found it pretty good on that game.

I'll be heading up to the inlaws Oct 3 for Canadian Thanksgiving,  they have retired to a cabin in northern Saskatchewan.  Usually I only have a couple of days but this year I have some leftover vacation to use, so I get to be up there a week.  So I have time to be picky and not just smoke the first thing that comes by. This is my third year hunting out there the first two the weather was crap.

I'll be using my Knight American with 4x Simmons the load will most likly be Hornady 265gr and 100gr 777 But I am wondering about switching to the 44 cal 240gr or 300gr xtp. My first choise would be 250 partition hg but I can't seem to find that bullet in bulk, I can by it in the ultra expensive 15 pack but I won't.

I'll be using my CVA staghorn(converted it to 209) shoots great and a steal at 90.00 dollars. Got it sighted in at 50 yds (no scope)Using power belt 245 gr. and triple 7. Just as accurate as any of my rifles. :)  :eek:  :eek:

I'll be hunting both Maine and New Hampshire this year.  Only 6 and a half weeks until NH muzzleloader seasons starts.  Matter of fact I just got back from the range.

Ill be hunting in oct  this year with my smoke pole and i enjoy hunting with it more then anything.  The end of oct in KY is a good time to be in the woods.  My two biggest bucks were killed with my muzzleloader.  This year im thinking about taking my traditions flintlock with me.  i killed my other bucks with a cva carbine cap and ball and my last one was killed with a cva hunter mag inline so i want to get one with me flintlock.

Oct 16, 1st ML Season starts in Iowa. Will be out there with the
new 10ML -- gonna let the Encore rest this season. The one
problem being - corn is late and not much of it will be out by
then, and THAT's where they are layin' around during the daylight.

I have two muzzle loader tags for South Dakota. The season is mid December through Jan. 50 caliber TC Woods Rifle. It was the forerunner of the Black Diamond and uses all the same accessories.

Muzzleloader in NY and Mass. but the bow season in NY starts friday!! I can't hardly think of anything else... the opposite sex even seems a little less appealing :eek:  I don't know about you all but this to me is like what christmas eve was like when I was A kid.
