my 16 gauge shoots great with fiochi hulls, z16 wads and hs6 powder.. hulls and wads are from balistic products, get a bag of sg 16 while your at it to try.. you will need a local supply of fiochi primers as the fiochi pocket seat is larger than american primers..i just saw a couple loads with cci and winchester primers, if you order from balistic products you will have to pay haz mat fees for primers.. primed hulls tho have no exrra fees.. then go 0ut out to the pattern board and see what is happeining.. you can get thier 16 gauge loading manual for a obout 10 bucks and that gives you the privalige to call in and get problem solving from them.. they also have many more loads to accomodate what your trying to do and they faxed the ones to me that i wanted for example bismuth loads for a 2 1/2- 16.. , etc.. longshot may be a good place to start, hs6, unique, and many others are mentioned. , the balistic products load manual for the 16 gauge shows about 4 1/2 pages of loads in small print, using differnt hulls etc.. lets see theres fiochi, chedite, federal hp, bp multi hull, rem sp, and win aa.. most loads are for the fiohi and the chedite tho.. with rem and win aa being very few.. youll probably go thru a few powders before you get a load that is really great if your picky. its impossible to give you the correct load for your gun, and contitions you will need it for tho.. you didnt mention velocity, shot load weight, pressure issues like for old gun etc,,.. .. .i dont get to this page often so if you have more questions email ffffgdave@yahoo.com dave..
