Reel Cleaning and Repair.
« on: January 18, 2003, 02:24:28 PM »
Some people may recognize me from other boards, some may have never heard from me.  Just thought I would let it be known that I do repair, rebuild, and customize reels.  I'm not advertising for business.  To be honest, I don't have time to take on more than I am doing now.  I have a bunch of guys here locally that drop them off 6 or 8 at a time, but if you have any questions regarding rebuilding or Repair of your reels, feel free to ask.  If you need parts, I probably can hook you up with it depends on how old the reel is and if I can get it.  I work on Shimano, ABU, Daiwa and Zebco brands (Quantum, Lews Browning).

The ones with a knob of both side?

Oh yes.  That's one of my favorites to trick out just a bit.  It usually doesn't take much to make them very fast.  I sometimes change the gearcase out on them to to the modern style with instant anti reverse bearings.
