Boy!  Ever since Larry lowered the boom over at Marlin Owners, the old group has sort of disappeared.  I was hoping that everyone would regroup over here, but it doesn't seem to have happened.  

I'm really glad to see some guys are checking in and to tell the truth, I've been out looking around, but everywhere I go the plethora (is that spelled right) of forums are just overwhelming.  I think our old gang is a great bunch and it would be a shame to let it fade away.

Maybe everyone just got busy, or maybe they are looking for a topic to catch their attention.  Either way, I think this little forum that Bill has been nice enough to let us have, is as good a place as any to try to keep it going.  I'm asking that anyone who is just looking in, to check in with a short post and let us know you are still around and if you know where any of the rest of the guys are hanging out, maybe you could see if they would give us a shout.

This is in no way meant to exclude new guys from joining in; I hope others will find this group as stimulating, friendly and enjoyable as it has been for me for these past many months.  Maybe after a prudent period of time passes, it would be a good idea to change the name of the forum, so that new guys wouldn't be put off by the title.  For a time it would be good to keep the old name in parentheses though.

I don't get on the boards as much here lately, but I usually check out this site at least once a night.

I also do a lot of lurking about here at Graybeards and don't post a whole lot. Bill has many fine sites to check out and I visit several of them. With hunting season fast approaching and already here in some states I think a lot of people are getting their final plans together and doing the last minute load development and sighting in and unlimbering the bowstrings. :D

I pop my head up out of my hole every now and then.  I'm a moderator on another blackpowder forum, so most of my computer time is spent there.  But I visit here, too.  I just don't post as often as I did on the old MT (I ran out of trivia questions and Dixie Chicks jokes :mrgreen: ).  Besides the forum I mod on, Graybeard is my favorite.  :agree:

:D i still hang round, but i don't get much time to get on here though, coz the training schedule and all.  sometime in october, i am susposed to go to Arizona for some training for a month, so i won't be on for a while for that, but i still have a couple weeks till then. :grin:
