God's Grace and Mercy
« on: January 19, 2003, 03:15:55 AM »
I'm not sure when the Spirit actually gave me this little saying, but about 8 years ago I began what led to 5-1/2 years of prison ministry. The experiences that I had during those times brought me closer to the Lord and gave me a total trust in Him. Anyway, I've always used this little ditty and lots of people enjoy it.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MERCY AND GRACE

"God's mercy is when He gives us things we don't deserve ...
His grace is when He doesn't give us what we do deserve."

May knowing Him be a blessing to you all.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse...

Reed, just wondering what type of prison ministry you are/were involved in?  I am on team myself with an international prison minisrty called KAIROS.  This is my first time doing this and am looking forward to it.

BTW, I like that saying, I have heard it before but it's nice to see it on here!
Gen 27:3  And now, I pray thee, take thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt me venison.
