Who else hunts with an SBH with 10.5-inch barrel?

I currently don't have one, but I sure miss the two I have had. Both were SS and I equipped them with slings. Both had Leupold 2X scopes on them. I never got a shot at a mulie either season I hunted with them, but I sure liked the accuracy and the tame manners with hot-loaded Hornady 300s.

i had one and it sure was sweet.  a bear to pack, though.  my dad liked it so much that i gave it to him.   i figured that for all he has done for me,  it is the least i could do.  he likes it alot, too.  it is a sweet shooter, accurate and polite.   sure beats the other pieces of junk he has tried to pass off as handguns over the years.   he struts around like a banty chicken at the range.  pretty funny.  i kind of miss that gun,  but it gets more attention where it is at and i am sure it is happier.

Myron, that's a nice thing you did for your dad. The long barrel is a bit ungainly to pack, but the SBH is no harder to carry than any of the single shots and it's a sixgun. Where that big SBH really shines is shooting from the Elmer Keith back position. Man, that long sight radius makes the rig fun to plink with at long range.

Nope. Gave up on those snub nose handguns  :-D  and bought me a 12" barrel Taurus Model 44. I'm still trying to push that darn front sight out far enough to be able to see it once again. I think an 18" barrel just might put it out there where I could really see it.

However as much as I've always liked long barrel handguns if I were to scope it which I no longer do to revolvers I'd want it no more than about 7.5" and 6" is even better if scope is on frame not barrel.

Whoa, Bill, that is one long-barreled Jose.
Even I might find that length a little unhandy. Bet it is an accurate pussycat, though, especially from Keith back rest position.
