Me and the better half went to the Evanston, WY Rendezvous couple of weeks ago.  What a great time. They had buffler and elk in pens next to the State Park that the vous was held in, right next to the Bear River.  They did get a bit nervous when I sighted down on one of them buffler, but I was only kidden. (they didn't have to use the handcuffs)

The shootin was great and these people had their act together.  I have ta go back next year, Ma is gonna make me.

Any other vous that were really good this year?

However, it will shoot.

Bin a good season here in Minn so far, knock on wood, all camps packed dry. That's kinda the rule abouts here,,"if you can pack dry canvis","it's a good vous"!
Wallnut Grove was about the best fer shootin,,"Preacher" puts on a good'n! camp set next too "Plumb Creek" just like the TV show "little house on the prarie",say's,,
South Fork Renegades near Huchinson has a really good shoot too,but I had changed cloth and the "south dakota boy's" kicked my butt! It was fun though,,Dustin took 2nd fer hawk and knife(youth).
Milacs History Fest is smaller,,kater to the "flatlanders" there mostly,,just fer show and yakin if ya know what I mean,,help'm along,,get'im involved. Gained 5# just from the "pot luck" dinners!
"Big Timber Masawaukins" had their 25th this year,,so the Forest City Stockade filled with near 70 camps. I joined that club just last year so's I couldn't shoot Saturday(too busy spotting shooters!), but I did snuff the candles good come dark, and second in the "pisotle" duel Sunday,,and our team lost the stump shoot cause I "dry balled" a load!!I lost at least 3 shots trying to get that thing out! Man did I catch some heat :) .
Got three more ta get too afore November,,

Are ther any other good vous' out there?  Ya, any that ya can pack "dry canvis" :D
i'm a realist. i've not seen it all, but man ,,I've Been Around the block once or twice

lostid,
I am glad to see that you had a full year so far, as far as vouin goes.  Most of ta other vous around here, includin the big Bridger Vou had water fallin from the sky.

I know what you mean by cloth.  I was shootin in one event and bein a bit nervous, I pulled the wrong cloth - I was beatin the patched ball down the bore with a rock.  That ball were so beat outa shape, it coulda held water.  I finally got my act tagether but it twere to late.  Outa five shots, only two hit an 11"x 8" piece of paper at 40 yards.  And then neither of them landed anyways near the target in the center of the paper.  I used a white cane when I went to get my target so I wouldn't be so embarased.
