You don't reload for the rifle so much as for the particular cartridge that you are using. As always you have to start at least 10 per cent below max in anybody's manual and work up in 1 grain or less increments. You will then find the best particular combination for your barrel, powder, bullet. case, primer, combination. Yes, they all can make a difference. You will find that a whole 1 lb can of powder will be used before you can judge for sure what  it will be like in your gun.

:P Just so happens I reload for the 7mm o8 and I found that the most accurate powder was Varget.
