I tried the Swift Sciroccos in .277 in my .270 Weatherby and couldn’t get them to group anywhere near what I could with Nosler Partitions so I gave up on them.  Last night a co-worker was asking about Swift A-Frames and wanted to know how they compared to Nosler Partitions.  So I am asking for opinions from those that have used both on how they compare to each other(caliber is not important or is it?)?  Lawdog

I have a 30'06 that will sink Sciroccos into one ragged hole at 100 yards, and have tried em in two 7 mags and neither has EVER got better than 1.5" groups, so maybe caliber does matter???or does it???

As far as A-Frame vs. Partition...well I will take the Partition any day...I am biased when Nosler and Partitions are in the picture, but I have shot and hunted with both in different rifles and just always have had better results overall with the Nosler Partition, although if the gun shoots the A-Frame well, it is a true performer on big game.

I know I didn't help any but it is my honest opinion.

I have used both 9.3 286 grain Nosler partitioned in my 366 DGW and the Swift A frames and I will give the A Frame the vote all most all the way.
Now I have to be fair so let me clarify some things.    First I am not looking at price even though I get them at dealer price.   Second I am pushing both the 286 grain Nosler and both the 250 and 300 grain Swift far faster then they were designed for.    Taking this into account I have had the Nosler loose the whole front half but the base still exited.    With the few Swift bullets (A Frames) I have been able to recover this has never happened.    As for accuracy it would have to be a close race in 9.3mm with the edge going to Nosler by.07", not much in a hunting situation.   In .308 diameter from my .308 Norma mag, Nosler is the winner for accuracy and since I have never shot any thing bigger then deer with it and never recovered either companies bullets I can not say other then the Nosler seems to be a bit more violent and thus I would tend to think more fragle.

I tried 150 grainers in the 7mmBRM last week with excellent results. I've settled on that bullet for that rifle. :grin:  I'm going to do a load ramp in the 30-40AI tomarrow, with 165 grain Scirocco's. :wink:
