has anyone tried a T/C E-Z tip Extractor.

I was thinking about getting one and putting it on my 209x50 bullberry.

I have a T/C E-Z tip extractor on my 209X50 and love it!

It works really well and when it comes time to clean the barrel, there is no disassembly required!  Just tip it off to the side and remove the breech plug as though the extractor wasn't even there!

There will be comments from some of the other guys on this forum who'll say that they don't even use an extractor at all, and they enjoy the ease of cleaning too!  From what I've heard, that works well too!
However, I know that when I open the action on my rifle the extractor will lift the primer up so that it is not stuck or anything like that!

It boils down to ones own choice!

I've read of the EZ-Tip extractors breaking after as few as three shots. Unless they beefed them up a little since they first came out I'd steer clear of them.
I chose to go the extractor removal route. I've never had a  primer stick so far. Give it a try.

how do you remove the spent primers.

Just looking at it they look like they would be hard to get out

Its pretty easy. The rim of the primer is raised and not flush with the breech plug. I just put the fingernail of the index finger under the rim of the primer, them squeeze the other side of the rim with my thumb and lift straight up. This hasn't failed me yet

The first thing I did to my 209X50 was remove the extractor.  I've never had a problem removing spent primers, and I don't have to worry about breakage or removal for cleaning.  But like was said above - to each his own.

My EZ-Tip Extractor broke on the first shot.  I now go the extractorless route with not problems.

My EZ-Tip Extractor is still doing it's job after approximately 150 shots!

But, I suppose there is a "lemon" every once in a while, no matter what you buy!

I would think that TC would replace it, if it were to break and showed no signs of abuse!

I removed mine and everything works great. Really the Omega and the Encore use the same breech plug and the Omega doesn't come with an extractor. As another fellow mentioned a finger nail works fine if it doesn't fall out on its own.
