Did you notice that Layne Simpson in this issue used a 308 Ultra to take a caribou at 190 yards using the Barnes 150 grainer at 2800 fps pushed by 43 rains of Benchmark? Says his rifle averages 1.75" but doesn't give a range for that. Also there is an article on maximizing rifle accuracy, speaks a lot to good bench practice, pictures a Handi rifle being fired off a rest, pg. 26
Nice to see that these rifles are getting good coverage in the press. This can make or break a firearm, and these rifles are good rifles overall and deserve to get a place public view. Thanks Layne, and Shooting Times.
