Wonder if any other ammo producer is going to come out with 480 ammo?
e.g. Federal,Winchester,Remington, PMC? I know  Buffalo Bore,Hornady and Speer already have kind of would be nice if there was a little more choices besides 2

You do mean besides THREE, right?

I believe Hornady has two loads, Speer one or two and Buffalo Bore has three if I recall correctly. I think COR-BON is likely also loading but am not positive. I have a new Sponsor Reed Ammo who might also, I've really not checked to see. I'm sure other small custom outfits do also.

How many different loads do ya need?

Somebody ought to whisper in Federal's ear, regarding their castcore lineup.  CPBC makes a few bullets for that size, maybe they could load up some of the 370 grainers.
Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!

unless your rich to learn to shoot a gun as big as a .480 properly you need to reload and in my opinion you just about need to cast bullets too. It takes alot of rounds to get really good with hard kicking guns.

I bought myself a 480 SRH and love it!
I did as much research on every wheel gun that interested me and thats everything from 357 up to the S&W 500. I am a big bore fan have been
quite along time. My selection for the 480 is simple I like the gun.
So far I do have to get use to it, but that will be easy. Recoil not a factor
eyesight not the greatest  so I may have to get a scope or holosight,
either way still deciding on what to use. Then the hard part begins,
learning to shoot with both eyes open  . Ammo not that big a deal
either cost wise it's cheaper than my 45/70 and 300wsm.

I have spoke with Federal several times.  They were polite at telling me NO (which actually surprised me as I thought they might have it on the back burner). I also spoke to Winchester and go the same answer.  But the one thing that the round has been purchased by people that are handloader I believe.  So the demand for loaded rounds is fairly low I bet.  The thing to help this round is to get a few more factory guns to chamber it.  Still is a small market.  Great round.  But it would really show the capability of the round if Federal loaded it in a cast bullet.
