need a wood stock for a cva
« on: September 09, 2004, 05:46:27 PM »
I just purchased a cva bobcat from walmart. And to my surprise it shoot extremely well. Almost as tight as my step dads T/C renegade. I'd love to take it to some shoots but only have the synthetic stock. I need to come up with a wood stock. my friend has a cva frontier 50 cal. and other than the trigger and trigger guard i can put my rifle into his stock. Any suggestions short of building my own and getting a crash course in inletting one.

                                                                Thanks

I am almost POSITIVE that CVA makes the Bobcat with a wooden stock also.  Try contacting them about it and see what you get.

Sorry to hear about the dead end.  I guess you could peruse the auction sites and hope one pops up, but short of that I guess Im out of ideas.
As for CVA dropping the traditional line......well I guess Im kinda sorry.  The guns are not exactly $400 Thompsons, but they offer some decent "traditional" guns at a price the average Joe could get into.  Oh well, I guess Ill keep my Mountain gun and thank m'lucky stars....

Hey Longshot, I noticed you said that cva referred you to deer creek. I've been trying to locate a # for them to no avail, I would really appreciate any heads up you could give me. thanks :D
