It will be brought up and one will be passed ,we can only hope it will be less stringent.

Depends on who wins.  If Kerry wins.  Probably yeah.  If Bush wins, then it depends on whether or not his gave his passive support of the ban as a political gesture or as a true intention.  If just political, Bush could very well veto it (that won't necessarily stop it in the long run though) since he doesn't have to get reelected.

If Bush gets in it may stay the same bill if Kerry gets in its doom and gloom for us a $50 handgun ammo tax and ammo registration will be added too and maybe more.                               BigBill

I too am of the mind that, as long as Republicans hold the congress and white house, we will not see it up for re-authorization for quite a while at least.  The world will sit in wait for the full auto shoot outs and mass murders to come, and when they dont the AWB will fade like a bad memory.  That is NOT, however, an excuse to not write your congresspersons and the president persistantly and urge them to not vote for any of that kind of "junk" gun legislation.

If Bush is reelected and the Republicans control congress, the AWB is gone until the Republicans lose control of congress.  If Dems get in control of congress and Bush is reelected (unlikely) then AWB comes back with a vengence.  Bush will sign a bill if it is presented.  He has said so in public.  Hard to back down on that, particularly if another Columbine happens.  Irrational public outcry will demand it be signed.  If Kerry gets elected and Dems control congress, get ready to grab your ankles and kiss your guns goodbye.  Regardless AWB sunset is a blip, eventually it will be back & much more restrictive next time around because sooner or later Dems will control congress/whitehouse again.  The only way we get to keep our guns long term is if SHTF gets here sooner than later.  It's scary but talk to your kids and find out what they're learning in public school about guns.  They're being brainwashed all the way through school and the anti-gun hysteria peaks in college.  Imagine what they'll be teaching your grandkids.  You can bet it won't be pro-gun ownership.
