I have a new camp starting in the Northern Province in 2005. Great location and lots of territory that has been almost completely unhunted over the last 10 years.

You could hunt this location with a buddy 2X1 for under 5000 and get 8 days hunting and 4-5 animals. I'm personally excited about this place to the point that I'm taking an extra week to hunt it for myself after the hunters are finished. I just hope they leave something exceptional for me to shoot!

This might be the perfect hunt for me and my father JJHack. Im a newbie to africain hunting and the lot I read a good amount but still don't know some stuff is that under 5000 per person or under 5000 for both?

Here is the short/quick breakdown on this:

estimate 1500 in airfare per person
8 days at 150.00 per day daily fee is 1200 bucks
3500 bucks minimum for trophy fees you pick the animals

6200.00 per person round trip all inclusive total with 4-5 animals depending upon what you want to shoot.

J.J., 150 per day for hunting? Please tell me, what are the prices for an observer and what sort of lodging? I have been paying 350 per day for hunting and my wife goes for 120 as an observer. What you have sounds like a great deal!!!! I want to go on my third hunt over there in 2007, mabe 2006. It would be 2 hunters and my wife as an observer , both of us want to go for buffs so SA would probably be out but what would you recommend and what price would we be looking at as far as day fees? The guy I will be hunting with also wants planes game and so do I but I have a rather big head start on him and am not looking for all that much more at present. I would like a black wildebeest, a Cape buff, and am open to sujestions to round things out. Alex, the friend I will be hunting with wants a Buff, a Kudo, Zebra Blue wildebeest and mabe a black also, both of us would be open to a bush pig and caracal if available. Buffalo will be 12,500 in 2005. That is all inclusive of daily fee and trophy fee. These are in a safe country (RSA) with all the ducks in a row to get your Buff skull and cape home. The only additional travel from Joburg is by our vehicle and it's included in the cost.

You may find cheaper trophy fees in other countries but when you add the daily fee's, additional travel and the risk of getting your things home after they are sent to a pack and dip, or taxidermy shop for prep. Countless people who have gone on the "cheap" zim buff hunts will never see their trophies in the USA! The Dip Pack In pretoria has shelves of Bufflao skulls without proper papers from Zim. They cannot be shipped and Zim does not give a rip about them because they have already been paid in full. Look into this before you take a "cheap" buff hunt!

We will only hunt natural indiginous game. For that reason we do not have Black Wildebeast on our property in the north, They are only indiginous to a small area in central RSA. I can arrange this hunt but it will not be where our main operation is at. The drive will take a full day from our camp each way.

The other plains game are available at the 150.00 per day daily fee 2X1 with a minimum 3500 trophy fees taken per hunter. Please visit my website for the full details. This arrangment is good for 2005 only right now. It's a new operation with lots of properties to choose from that are not normally hunted by foreign hunters. I'm not sure what to expect from the landowners for prices in 2006 once they see what we do this next season.

Non-hunters are also 150.00 per day. The cost to house people is the same to me whether they hunt or not. The PH is covered by the trophy fees which is why there is a minimum amount. If the hunter falls even one dollar short of the 3500 bucks he will pay 225 per day daily fee. It's best to just shoot something to get to the 3500 bucks! These are 8 day hunts but can be made to suit your needs.

hunting in africa is something i want to try at least once in my life and hopefully in the next 5 years. your outfit looks to be the best priced and organized from what i've seen so far. what i want to know is can your clients bring home the meat? i doubt it, given refrigeration, shipping and laws about food importation. this creates a bit of a moral quandry for me. not being able to eat your kill goes against what my father & grandfather taught me about hunting and fishing, if your not going to eat it, and it's not a nuisence leave it be. when i worked in a sporting goods store last year i was talking with a customer who had been hunting in Botswania. he said the meat was given to the locals. do you do this, or give it to a food bank? i would be shocked and disappointed if it went to waste.

J.J. thank you for your reply. Your web site is great, my wife and I both enjoyed it. What you have to offer looks to be better then most of what we have already experienced and at a better price. Kevin, no meat is wasted and all goes to good use. Either to locals, landowners, or the local meat business(butchery) the animals will be killed by hunters from over seas or by culling so we may as well collect the trophies and sell the meat. It's going to happen one way or another regardless.
