Watched the movie last night and the young Mexican serial killer is using a Schmitt-Rubin Straight-Pull.  Did anyone else notice this?

Apparently took it off the older German/Swiss man that he was in a "cactus-shooting contest" with.......

Yep, I saw it right off. Seeing as I'm a Smidt-Rubin fan. In the book the auther refers to it as a "German Rifle". He probably ment an early Mauser. I would hazzard a guess that the producers of the movie thought the staight pull looked more exotic and wouldn't be recognized.
