Encore Breech Plug- Flat vs Concave

Both mine and my dad's encores came with concave breech plugs.  I am shooting loose T7 while he is shooting T7 pellets.  His load are shooting only 3" at best at 100 yards.  Could a flat faced breech plug help and should he ask T/C for one?

I would not think it would make a difference unless he is crushing the pellets when loading.  That is the reason that they made the flatter plugs.  My concave plug shots pellets fine if loaded with care.
