I have shoot about 200 rounds on a friend's Career 707 .22 cal air rifle and can say it is very powerful, accurate gun.  It is finely crafted at a fairly low price but too noisy for my taste.  Definitely not a backyard/indoors airgun.

Ji, Have 707 in .20 and .22. Put 22000 pellets through the .20. It operates so smooth I hate to put it down. At about 20000 the exhaust valve failed. They said it was my fault from overfilling air pressure. Only cost about $50 with shipping to repair. .22 is  good too with small difference in sound and air consumption. The .20 is the sweetest of the two.

I have being seriously considering the purchase of a Career for awhile and the only fact that refrains me from the adquisition is noise.  I do have some limited experience with a friends 707 .22 caliber and really wonders about what you specifically means by more sweetest.  Is the .20 caliber more quiet, accurate, powerful, gives you more shots per charge, all of above, or what?  I would really appreciate your honest, experienced opinion.  Thanks a lot!

Hi, It is hard to describe the dif between .20 and .22. My .20 is an early Shin Sung. The .22 is an RWS which means it's painted and has a lifetime warranty. The .20 is so well broke in it operates so smooth and quite. The .22 is a little stiffer and is just a tad louder, but more so, it has a distinctive sound that carries more. The .22 pellets in the same brand/weight are shorter fatter. The .20 arguably retains more energy after 50 yds. I shoot better at long ranges with the .20 (65-80yds), but liking the gun can't hurt here. I feel the .22 uses a bit more air. Both guns are deadly accurate. Both guns are loud compared to springers. Many have the gun adjusted for higher velocity than needed, translating into more noise. With a chrono I've learned where to set mine and shoot around 850 fps. Good performance and sound unless more power or distance for larger than birds. Longest kill shot for me with .20 100 yds.
