H Pieper?
« on: September 13, 2004, 02:28:05 PM »
Just picked up another neat little single shot for my collection. It is marked H Pieper's, and Belgium on a short little octagon .22rf barrel. The stock is strange for a single shot rifle, as it is one piece buttstock and forearm.
Does anyone have any info on Pfeiffer?
By the way, this is a rolling block type action, about the size of a #6 Remington. It is not a Peiper, as shown in DeHaas' book, as that one is a falling block action, instaed of a rolling block.

2520,
Got the information in the mail this morning! Thanks a lot. It's all very interesting, and the Pieper #521 Squirrel rifle shown in there for $2.50 is the gun I have. Didn't know there was anything that sold that cheap back then! Even the H&A rifles were almost twice that!
