Beeman R7 trigger?
« on: September 14, 2004, 07:28:28 AM »
I am looking at the Beeman R7 and the R9.   I am leaning toward the R7 since it looks like it may be a tad more accurate.  I know the velocity is lower but this makes a lot of difference in amount of effort required for cocking the gun.   Does both guns have the same trigger?   I had an R9 once and loved the trigger,  however I was having some shoulder problems at the time and cocking it caused my shoulder to hurt.   I think I have narrowed the choice down to the two and was looking for some input.  Thx  Don

Buy with confidence! Same trigger, so you will love it the same. The cocking effort is exponentially lower. I can break the barrel with a slight nudge, and the stroke is not the least bit tiresome.  :D

I was trying to decide between the same 2 air rifles earlier this year. I choose the R7 since my main use was for indoor range target practice. The R9 seems like it would fit the bill if more power was needed - although the cocking effort is listed at 40lbs compared to the R7 at 18lbs.
