Other than the grip size the 30 is roughly the size of the 19. I carry my 36 and 19 in the same holster. If I'm carrying the 21 you can bet it's in a strong side OWB holster. That thing's a monster! Looking down the top of the slide is like looking down the deck on an aircraft carrier! Nice soft shooter though. I prefer the 36 because of it's thin profile over the 30. With 7 rds of .45acp on board, I aint scared! Almost comical how everyone's going nuts over the hi-caps. I carry 1911s most of the time and have never felt that the 9 rd capacity (7 in the officer's) was a handicap.

Chris,
The option of full capacity mags should have never been taken away. Now is the time for us to be especially vigilant to insure it never happens again!! By the way, I too like the size of the Glock 30!
