Art show sees Europe as 'new Roman Empire'

The European Union is poised to overtake America to become the premier superpower, according to an EU exhibition launched yesterday in the heart of Brussels.

 
 
The pop-art collage mounted in a tent outside the European Commission narrates 50 years of EU history and projects events into the future in an unusually frank display of European ambition.

Segments sketched across 80 yards of canvas predict that the 21st century will be the "European Century" as the EU pushes its borders deep into Eurasia, North Africa, and the Middle East and comes to dominate world affairs through its vast "legal and moral reach".

Under the heading the "Roman Empire returns", it says the EU will be renamed "The Union" once it grows to 50 states over the next three decades.

The United Nations headquarters will be moved to Gibraltar as the EU defends the international order against the "American onslaught".

The euro will break the "overbearing monopoly of the dollar" by 2010 as China and India switch their reserves to punish America for its "stratospheric deficit".

Casting the United States as the villain of modern times, it says: "The lonely superpower can bribe, bully or impose its will almost anywhere in the world, but when its back is turned, its policy is weakened."

Entitled "The Image of Europe", the display is not a formal expression of EU policy but it captures views that can be heard every day in the corridors and canteens of the Union's institutions.

The exhibit was co-ordinated by the European Commission and sponsored by the European Council. The EU's Dutch presidency said yesterday it was designed to narrow Europe's "iconographic deficit" by conjuring up forceful images.

There aren't two countries in Europe that have enjoyed amicable relations for more than 20years at a stretch when left unsupervised for at least 400 years.  And now they're gonna get together to take over the world?

One question.  Who's gonna take the lead?

They can squawk and strut all they want.  They can criticize and comdenm America because it's fashionable, that's fine.

What the growing wave of pro-euro, anti-american propaganda tells me is that there's gonna be another big honkin' European war during the 21st century.

I can see you are unfamiliar with both history and current events, not to mention Biblical prophecy.  Who started the last two world wars?  Who formulated the plan for the EU?  Who now dominates  EU decision making?  Who created the "Holy Roman Empire" in the first place?

The Book of Daniel makes it perfectly clear that the coming alliance will be weak and temporary (feet of a mixture of iron and clay).  The Union will last only 3 1/2 years (time, times and half a time), but how long does a war have to last to kill billions of people with today's modern weapons?

The Union's population is greater than ours and their combined armed forces are greater than ours.......and they do have nuclear weapons.  

Study the seven previous incarnations of the Holy Roman Empire and you will see that it has always been their goal to dominate the known world.  The Bible (God's Word) prophesies ONE more incarnation and you are now witnessing it's formation.

I can see that you're unfamiliar with the term "rhetorical question".

Not surprisingly, even after your baseless criticism, you've completely missed the point of the question.

European sub-factions have been warring for CENTURIES.  Witness Bosnia, Checnya, and the increasing resurgence of violent anti-semitism in both Germany and France.

Immense nationalist, racial, and ethnic baggage will make it literally impossible for one EU "state" to accede to either the authority or the subject expertise of another EU "state" that has been historically hostile to their interests.

 maggot, all prophecy was written from a Jerusalem viewpoint.  The King of the North is located north of Jerusalem.  Daniel describes it perfectly.  The King of the South will be a federation of radical Islam, most likely led by Iran.

The USA and Great Britain will not be contenders in the conflict.  Britain will no longer be in the Union and the USA will no longer be a "super power" if it even exists.

As to the cohesive force binding the Union, the Book of Revelation states that it will be a common religion.  In prophecy, a woman denotes a church or religion, a church will dominate this beast-power for a short time.  An uncommon religion is the factor prohibiting the inclusion of Turkey, an otherwise qualified nation, into the Union.

Seven times, Europe has remained united long enough to become  the Holy Roman Empire, not to be confused with the Roman Empire, so recent unpleasantries have little bearing.  The EU is now hammering out their constitution.  It is happening right before our eyes.

The "stone" spoken of which breaks this last resurrection into pieces is Christ, Himself.

And, yes, I know what a rhetorical question is and those were not rhetorical questions.  I asked those questions so that all could better see and understand what is heppening.

Babylon the Great is a system of government/religion as it was in times of old.  The Holy Roman Empire is a type of Babylon.  

Contrary to popular belief, there will be no battle at Armageddon, the Bible states that it will take place in the Valley of Jehoshaphat.  The Megiddo Valley or Armageddon is only a gathering place for the leaders and their armies to receive the final (seventh) plague.

What happened in Russia last week is too horrible for civilized people to endure without retaliation.  The casual butchery, the gleeful torture, the cold-blooded murder of child after child after child– these things can never, never be forgotten.

All of Islam Now Stands Accused.  

No more soothing proclamations that we worship the same God,  No one serves God by singling out poor, innocent children to capture, brutalize, and kill.

Did You See The Pictures Of These Poor Children And Their Grieving Parents?

The carnage looked like the work of wild animals.  

But these were not animals.   Animals don’t rape and torture the tiny creatures they kill.  

Here are some of the specific details.

·        The Islamic fanatics who occupied the schoolhouse planted mines and booby traps filled with metal bolts so that when rescuers arrived, the small, innocent hostages would be blown up or slashed to pieces by metal fragments.  Most were killed this way.

·        Many of the fleeing children who survived the blast were shot in the back by their Muslim captors.

·        Hostages were mutilated.  A government spokesman said, “One of them is a child 18 months old, with several knife wounds.”

·        A medic painted a grim picture for the survivors: “Many of those who live will be invalids.  Some do not have eyes.”

·        Hundreds are in hospitals, some barely clinging to life.

Battered and Charred Beyond Recognition

Many of the murdered children were so battered and charred that their own grief-torn parents couldn’t identify them.  

Perhaps even more heart-wrenching are the pictures of parents who found and recognized the mangled corpse of a son or daughter.

A father carries the blood-smeared body of his child, the haunted look on his face more eloquent than all the words in the dictionary.

A ten-year-old girl looks lovingly down at her mangled brother, lying dead on a stretcher.

A mother and daughter share the same coffin.

Men dig graves for their loved ones in a muddy field nearby.  You can see rows of wooden coffins in the background.

Family members kiss the lid of a coffin before it is lowered into the wet ground.  (One family buries eight members.)

So much unbearable pain crammed into a few days – and all of it stemming from the swaggering belief of these savages that Allah is destined to rule the world.

Don’t you think the Muslim community in this country and elsewhere needs to speak up and denounce these acts?

When Will It All Stop?

The pious butchers who committed these unspeakable crimes against children  –  the murder, the mutilation, the rape – were acting under orders from higher up.

The operation was planned and funded  by al Qaeda fanatic Shamil Basayev, who dreams of creating an Islamic state in the Northern Caucasus.

Makes sense, doesn’t it?  Kill enough children and the stupid, cowardly infidels will let you take over the world.    

Look at how far this jihad (“holy war”) has gone:

·        It started with 9/11 and the deaths of 3,000 Americans -- killed on home soil by a bunch of pimply-faced fanatics who believed they would be taken immediately to heaven and given 72 virgins to wallow with.  (No matter what you’ve been told, that’s exactly what Islam fanatics teach would-be suicide bombers.)

·        Then they began kidnapping Americans, Filipinos, Japanese, and other allies in Iraq, decapitating some of them and taping the executions for screening on Arab TV.

·        Next they kidnapped two French journalists, saying they would behead the hostages unless France lifted its ban on girls wearing Muslim headscarves to school.  (Never mind that Christians couldn’t wear crosses either.)

·        Then they went after the Russian children.

·        And two days ago, they kidnapped two Italian women who worked for a private agency providing humanitarian aid to children.

At Beslan, at least 30 of the baby killers died in the explosion.  After an investigation, authorities said they were not Chechen “separatists” but Muslim fanatics, at least ten of them Arabs.  

Security forces captured at least one survivor, who didn’t swagger or spout verses from the Qur’an.  Having just conspired to murder a school full of kids, he was suddenly a whiny little coward, begging for mercy:  “I swear by Allah I have not shot.  By Allah, I have not killed.  I was sorry for them.  I myself have children.”

That’s more like it – more whining, less crowing.  

Of course, he knows that Russians are old hands at dealing with traitors.  He’s certainly aware his punishment won’t be carried out by Mother Teresa.

Whatever his reasons for this outburst of remorse, he knew he had just made a big mistake.

Are American Muslims willing to admit the mistakes of their religious brothers?  Are they willing to come forth as a body and stand with the rest of the world over the atrocities now being committed in the name of their God and Prophet?

Or are they secretly exulting in yet one more attempt on the part of Islam to rid the world of Christians and Jews.
