How bad was it?
I've pretty given up on the Syracuse[and Rochester] shows.
I think it is a combination of our disasterous regional economy and our wonderful governor.
Harrisburg,PA show[last year] was worth the 5 hour drive.

I went there both days and spent alot of cash and came home with a smile on my face :lol: . I bought 3 guns and a ton of parts real cheap.I got there at 10:00 both days and there wasn't even a line going in the place either day.I feel it was very poorly attended and thats a bad thing for the biggest collector show in the northeast.I've only missed one Syracuse gun show in the last 10 years and can say this was the least attended.I don't know if it was because of the last two hurricanes or bad economy.If it's the economy,then you would have people selling their guns cheaply and thats not the case.The guns that were selling were the top end guns,not the cheap stuff.We'll know if it's the economy after hunting season when I go to a few gun shows and start buying slug guns for next to nothing.I hope this is not the case.It's a shame to have to give so little for guns just because a guys so broke.

I never miss the fall or the spring show, I went Saturday and really enjoyed myself as it was not packed as usual. I thought the prices were right and got to see a lot of new models from different manufacturers. I finally got ahold of a gun I had been after for awhile, a Browning Buckmark carbon fiber 22 lr and at a good price.

I thought the show was pretty poor this year. Worked behind the table for the Outdoorsman on Saturday. Business was slow crowds were down, compared to years before. Did anyone seem to notice there were a lot of "arts & crafts" dealers there this year. I think the attendance is down because the regional economy is still pretty poor. >John

I went on saturday morning, and I wasn't that impressed. If I had the money, I might have bought an older S&W model 42.

Attendance on Saturday was really low. It was the first home game for SU, but my buddies who had a table said it was pretty bad Sunday also.

Saw many violations of NY's Assault Weapons ban both at Syracuse and Rochester Gun show. Illegal LEO only glock magazines and AR15 magazines, "post ban" AR15s that had flash suppressors and gun dealers telling young gun buyers that they can put a collapsible stock on a new AR15 lower. I never put much stock in gun dealers knowing much of anything, but seeing several felonies all in a row on the table out for sale was still surprising. :shock:
