To quote Barsness in the June July 04 Handloader Magazine: 300 win magnum 23 in barrel, 75 gr H4831 180 bullet:
Fed 215 primer vel 2,964, pressure 63,800 psi
CC1 BR2 2920 55,800 psi
WLRM 2,991 70,100 psi
pressures were gauged with a strain gauge system on chamber area of barrel.
From all my reading I expected the Fed to be hotter than the Win Large Rifle Magnum. I was using IMR 4831 but wondering why I had to drop from my customary 72.5 to 73 grs. I had newer slightly heavier (thicker) cases too but had tried to compensate by dropping .5 gr powder but was still seeing degraded accuracy and pressure signs with the WLRM primer loads.
Rereading the article he lists some loads with the 9.3x62!! to quote again:
286 Nosler Part, 65 gr Ramshot CCI 200 - 2,463 fps 49,500 psi
250 Barnes X, 62-64 gr Alliant RL 15, Primer??? ~ 2,593fps 47,700 psi
250 Nos Ballistic tip, 62-64 RL 15, primer?? 2,662 fps 48,400 psi
no case make listed - work up to these in your gun and be careful.
