Reloading question about 375h&h
« on: September 20, 2004, 03:39:22 PM »
Does the 375H&H need to be crimped? I notice that a lot of the bullets have a cannelure.  What's the best way to crimp it?  I didn't see instructions in my manuals that said it should be crimped, but I thought I should ask anyway.

I crimp the 375 H&H with a Lee Factory Crimp die.  No muss, no fuss.

I don't crimp my bullets and have not found any problems with not crimping.  This also allows me to vary the bullet seating depth without problem.

Questor,
I use a Lee crimp die on most of my loads just to be on the safe side. With the magazine fully loaded the bullets may creep a little. Better to be safe than sorry. Stay safe......Joe..........
