Bereta Stampede, Cimmeron Model P, or EMF Californian?
« on: September 21, 2004, 02:19:46 PM »
Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, glad to see that Cowboy Action Shooters are up to the cyberage as well.  I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I want a new pair of revolvers, and being 15 heavy doesn't appeal to me.  I bought two Ruger Vaqueros a phew years ago, and if you hadn't already experienced this, they are built to withstand tank rounds.  I've narrowed my new search to the Beretta Stampede, the Cimmaron Model P, or the EMF Great Western II Californian.  I'm not truly familiar with any of them.  I'm looking for the one that isn't notorious for specific pieces breaking, which has the most authentic feel, and which you would just rather have over the others.

Thanks for any input.

I have shot them all and own a cimmeron gun. But if it were my money id go with a usfa gun there the best quality colt copys. The great western if you can find one would be a nice gun to tuck away as the prices are going up on them all the time.

Could you give me some details?  I haven't had any experience with any of them except for holding the beretta stampede.

the usfa guns are supurb in the fit and finnish dept and ive never seen one that wasnt a shooter. The rest of them ill lump all together and say there good guns for the money. Heard a couple people grumbling about the quality of the berretas but the ones ive handled seemed nice enough. My buddy has a usfa gun and it locks up just as tight as any Freedom arms gun ive handled and belive me thats quality!

USFA? Never heard of them.  Google didn't turn up anything gun related when I searched.  Is there a website?

Ok, I lied I did find them and WOW, but they're out of my price range.  I'd like a new PAIR, and $1000 is my budget.  But they where B-E-A-Utiful (as Jim Carry says it.)

you should be able to pick up a pair of usfa rodeos in that price range. There the same quality just that they only come in 5.5 inch and are matte blued.
