Picked up my new 700 CDL 35 Whelen today

My 35 Whelen finally arrived. It sure is a beautiful rifle with nice wood and good fitting. I have to get her scoped up and sighted in. Great fun! :grin:  :grin:  :grin:

I'm sure you will really like the whelen.  It is one of the best all around big game cartridges you will come across.  My whelen really likes 250gr hornady RN and 225gr sierra SBT.   the federal premium load looks very promising too.  Good luck with your whelen.

I love the whelen.  58.5 grains of imr4350 behind a 225 grain ballistic tip nosler is punching one holers at 100yds for me.  I do have mine bedded and the trigger at 3lbs.  Have fun!
