No such critter. They are just plain Benjamin. NOT Ben Franklin.

Once upon a time there was Benjamin, Crossman and Sheridan. Now all are owned by same folks. I forget which but I think Crossman is the parent company now for all three. You'll find them at:

http://www.crosman.com/

Benjamin info can be found there. But I'll warn you in advance it is highly unlikely they will have old parts. But they should be able to tell you who does.

A lot of the older Benjamin guns were indeed marked "Benjamin Franklin". The model number is stamped on the rear of the lower tube plug. Its probably either a 310, 312 or 317.  Try Precision Pellet at http://www.airgunshop.net/index.html. Rick Wilnecker there can probably help you out.

What ever you do, don't deal with Crosman concerning old Benjis. They have a standing recall for any of the old Benjamin guns. They'll tell you to send it to them for repair, and then tell you its got serious safety issues and they can't fix it, and offer you a small amount towards a new model. There is of course not any real safety issue, so I'd just fix the gun and have fun with it.

Well maybe but my first one was bought in the 50's and it sure didn't say Ben Franklin. IT was just a Benjamin. None I've ever seen since said anything else. When did they make them under that name?

don't know when they did it, but on the barrel is stamped Benjamin Franklin.  Thanks for the help.  I'll look into the sites.
Thanks,

Can't tell you the exact dates the name was used, but it appears on most of the guns offered from the 1930s on. I think that name was still used until recently by Crosman. The 392 was advertised as a "Benjamin Franklin" rifle.

This is an early 312 with "Benjamin Franklin" stamped on the side. I've got a 3120 from the 70s thats got the same thing on it.

do any of you guys know about how much these things would have cost?  I'm trying to repair the one I've got now just because of sentimental reasons.  But I still don't want to put 500 dollars into repairing a 50 dollar gun.
Thanks again.

Other than the wood, is it ok? Even if it doesn't hold air, its not going to cost $500 to fix. A rebuild from Rick at Precision Pellet will cost you around $30 or so plus whatever shipping costs are, and whatever the stocks costs. Parts are pretty cheap, so I wouldn't worry too much.

My Benjamin Franklin, so stamped on the left side of the receiver, was a gift from a friend of my Dad's.  It was given to him by his dad.  I got it in the late 50's.

This one is a model 312.  I have not taken the time to research it.

Many years ago I sent it in for repair because it was loosing pressure.  It was returned to me fixed, with extra work done, at no charge.

mkee.  Another link?  Do you have an old H&R 410?
