Oh yeah. That's that 600 nitro express that everybody's using lately.

(Am I doing a good job of being nonchalant about this? A 600 NE handgun!!!???!!!)

Yes, GB. The obvious attraction is low cost and concealability.  I think I read that one round of 600NE costs $120.

Uh. Say! Doesn't 600 NE qualify for cowboy action shooting?

imagine a 15 year old drop out with one at the local 7-11 wanting
a slurppy would he need shooting sticks or would his little bro'
use his shoulder for a steady aim

I like the shouldering idea. The picture in my mind is a suddenly blind and smouldering assistant who goes on welfare for facial reconstruction and dual hearing aids about a day after 170 grains of powder discharges and envelopes him in the crystanthemum of white-hot firey gas jets from the cylinder gap and ports.  Meanwhile, the hapless cashier has to pay his own medical expenses, incurred for treatment of a sprained diaphram from laughing too hard in the aftermath of the hold-up, and for buttocks surgery after being the first person ever to literally laugh his a-double-dollarsigns off.

After viewing that link, I've come to this conclusion:  My 454 Ruger SRH, is now in the rimfire class.  The owner's medical bills would hereto exceed the price of the gun itself.  And the amount of possible visits made BY the owner to the phsyciatric ward would more than triple.  And finally, this is to S&W:  You guys are still in a far second in the list of "BIGGEST Handgun in the World" title.  And S&W can only obtain that title under the premise they make one of these three chamberings:  700 NE, 8-bore, or 4-bore.  In my opinion, I would be more apt to purchase a single shot pistol chambered in the .50 BMG.  More intriguing, American, and practical....Imagine watching a 1000 yard pistol match!  That is more my line :)  :-D   Patriot

I can just see it now, "The eargesplittenloudenboomer MICRO-MINI!  Coming to the big screen soon in Jurassic Park IV, Handgun Hunters Paradise!

I wouldn't enjoy shooting a 600 NE in a 12 pound rifle, let alone that contraption!  And why didn't they make it in Double-Action?

Let's see a Thompson G2 chambered in 50 BMG with a 15 inch barrel
and ported as well.

At about $3,850 this could be the best bargain for guns chambered for 600NE.
