mechanic,  I didn't know that Arthur Allen built the first brick home in this country. It seems that we are distant cousin if I read your post right. Since GB made this forum for me I have found alot of cousins that are apart of the GBO family.

Thanks for the information on Bacon's Castle. I will have to check it out.

Redtail1949, Thanks you for the information on Robert Micheal Velvin and family.  I didn't know that Frances' father was Peter Kilgore. That gives me something more to look into.

It would be nice if we found out that our Velvin's were related.

Your welcome, I have worked off and on for years on this family for one of my friends.  His mother was a Velvin. Did the Jones family that you are working on tie in to the Jones Family contaned in this Velvin file?

Redtail1949,  The Velvin's are on my dad's side of the family. Celia was the sister of my great-great-grandmother Elizabeth Velvin.

I am also working on a Jones on my mom's side of the family. I know very little about them. I do know that his name was Edward Jones and he married Mary Field and they had a daughter named Tabitha who married John Robinson, Jr.
