Return of the mod. 94 SRC
« on: September 29, 2004, 04:01:52 PM »
Fellows,

Would you help me to convince Winchester or Browning to bring back an accurate copy of the Model 94 Winchester SRC (Saddle Ring Carbine.)

I'm going to write them both.  Should be considerable demand for this gun and it would make a nice buddy for my Browning 1886 SRC.

Browning rep tells me they'll be making more of the 1886 SRC due to considerable demand.  It's a great gun and my very favorite.  May also have to try to get them to bring back their copy of the Winchester model 92.  Sweetest carrying gun you'll ever find and nearly a complete copy of their 1886 only smaller.

I'm definitely on board for pestering them about making more 92s.  While I'm at it, I'll throw in a request for a SRC :D

I was just at the Winchester site, looking at their non-catalog offerings.  The model 92 rifle, along with a 92 saddle-ring carbine, were on the list.  Davidson's seems to have a few left, at $1075 each.  The run was very limited.
