The Cannons at Ft Shenandoad are hard to photgraph. They have large guns crews who mill around and block the view. Spectators are also kept well back.
Cannons also are not as fun to watch as the mortars. You can't follow the ball to the target as it is obscured by smoke. Next year I am taking my Binoculars.
