So I decided to try Re-7 with 150 g Nosler BT's and 125 Sierra SP's (the barrel seems to like the 125g Sierra's). Reduced OAL of the shells. Also used a better rest, nicer day, one kid yelling "dad I want to shoot now" vs. two - how many variables should I include in my spreadsheet?
so 150g BT's 5 rounds at 100 yards - 1.2"
125g Sierra's 3 rounds at 100 yards - 1.4" flinched the last one.
I think if I shoot this round a little more I can probably get 1" or better. Didn't mess with the Pachmeyer foregrip - should I worry about it touching the barrel?
Did find a small hole in my Lee dies that cause a pronounced mark on the shoulder. Looks like I'm sending these back to Lee. That might have affected the earlier groups, not sure. Think I'm getting closer though (maybe 0 kids vs. 1?).
