Does anyone know the difference between the pro-hunter and the powershok shells in 243 80 gr?

That is a good question, oktx. However, I do not know the answer. You might check their web-site. Funny you mention that. I looked at the Federal ammo catalog the other day and I could not believe how many types of bullets they have. All I can say is stay with the soft-point. It works like a champ.I've never used a hollow point in .243 so I don't know how they do. I bet someone does though.

The omky bullets I use in my 243 is handloads 85 grain HPBT from Sierrra, ample dose of IMR 4320 close to top load in the Sierra relading Manuel. It has never let me down! Marv.

Would they have a simular POI and which bullet would be better for deer?

Looks like the Sierra would be the best bet for deer in the 80gr. Unless you can find the 80gr. Speers then go with them, the boattail design of the Grand Slam will help your accuracy.
