Kerry's new shotgun?
« on: October 05, 2004, 07:33:50 AM »
A little while back we saw Kerry receive a shotgun as a gift at one of his rallys.  The question came up as to whether this constitued a strawman purchase.  I never saw any definitive answers.  What say you all?

He gave it back. Not really a story anymore.

Maybe so, but he accepted it before he gave it back.  Seems like there is a technical violation there.  The BATF is always happy to send somebody up the river for a technical violation.  Unless maybe that somebody is a SOMEBODY?

Do NOT assume that because you saw someone hand John Kerry a gun that he actually owns one or ever has. It was a photo op only. I seriously doubt he owns a gun of any kind. He can afford body guards plus now he has secret service taking care of him.

Boy do I wish one of them would REALLY take care of him.

You can buy a gun for another person. You just need to fill out the yellow form correctly and state it is a gift.

I realize that in practcal terms it was just a photo op.  But I am not talking practical terms, I'm splitting hairs on the technicalities.  You can bet your bippy that if it were you or me the BATF would be only too happy to engage in hair splitting.

Aside form this incedent, Kerry claims to own two firearms, a double barreled shotgun and a Chinese assualkt rifle, oops! a Russian assualt rifle, No! It was a Russian antique, or was it an AK47.  Like every thing else, Kerry can't get that story straight two times in a row.

Would that be the same double barrel shotgun he claimed to crawl thru the brush on his belly  with while deer hunting ? You know it would behoove a candidate to at least talk to a real hunter if he plans to make up some cock and bull story for the press.

And the story about dove hunting....cold roasted at a picnic? Come on. What a dumbass!  :) Oh well, at least he won't get our votes.  :D
