Pearson Fiberglass Bows.......
« on: October 05, 2004, 01:14:57 PM »
Does anyone one here still have one stuffed away in their closet?  I just bought 1 at a yard sale that still had the original box and paperwork with it.  I didn’t know they came in a 60 lb. @ 28" version.  Always though of them as the lighter weight pulls used at school and in summer camps.  Going to use this one for bow fishing.  Lawdog

Yup still got mine. Road the bus to town and bought it for myself when I was 12 years old. Used money saved from picking up soda bottles and getting the deposit and selling scrap iron. Had to walk about 3-4 miles back home as the bow and a few arrows took all my money and I didn't have the dime left for a bus ride home.

Mine is a 35 pound pull bow.

I have a Ben Pearson 40#
A Ben Pearson 35#
A Bear 40#
And one of the shortest bows
I have ever seen that I have
no idea who made it or what the
pull is but it is a little brute to pull back!
That one is my "Brush Bow"
My cousin has a bow that was made from a
fiberglass ham radio antenna and has killed more
deer with it that all of his compounds combined.
he has had it for about 25 years and doesn't miss
with it. You grow up poor and you learn to improvise!
