I've been watching the scout scope mount forum over at Parallax and looking for scope ideas.

Many of them like the cheap fixed power NCStar scopes for their k31's.

I'm looking for other options.

What type of luck have people had with the Leupold ier scout scope, M8 2, 2.5 and 4x pistol scopes, and Bushnell Trophy Pistol Scopes.

I really don't need variable power, and would like at least 2x if not 2.5 x.

If you've got a scout rifle setup, let me know what you are using.

I put a Leupold 2X pistol scope on my Rem 788. Works fine. This was prior to the "scout" rifle craze.

I have a luppy 4x on my 14" .223 Contender with the vert target knob. I like this setup. I also have a 2.75 burris scout scope on my 45-70 rifle. The rifle is a Falling block Farky, so the long eye relief really makes loading easy. The eye piece is about 2" ahead of the breach. When I had a peepsight onit I had to shove the shell under the sight with my little finger. Awkward to say the least. The Scout has good brightness and clarity. Just wish I could get something with a little moe power. I have about 3000+ cast 405 5744 @28gr. rounds thru it and not a bit of trouble with the scope. Hope this helps.
