C&R Question
« on: October 07, 2004, 03:55:53 AM »
I have a C&R and my Question is I want to purchase
a Mauser from someone out of state that is not a C&R holder.
Can this person ship it direct to me or does he need to have a
dealer ship it for him.
Failure is not an option
Placer County, Calif.

I believe a C&R only allows you to buy not sell. He either needs a FFL or go thru a dealer who has one. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me on this. You can always contact the ATF to get clarification.

C&R Question

He needs a C&R FFL or a dealer to ship it to you UPS won't ship it from a regular person to you.  With your C&R FFL you can trade between collectors or with an ffl dealer not too much its just for collecting.  We can't sell to the public thats a $10,000 fine and maybe sometime with martha stewart too.  She ain't too bad looking but I don't like the decor there.                                                            BigBill

Non C&R can ship to C&R

A C&R holder can accept out of state shipments from a non license holder.
It is legal for him to ship to you if you first furnish him with a copy of your license and he must ship to the address on your license.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

C&R Question

I think UPS won't ship guns with no ffl ## make sure your state laws are ok too.  We have to be very careful of everything. I know we can ship C&R to C&R,  C&R to FFL if the guy has no C&R and modern guns go from FFL to FFL.  I just got a C&R gun from a guy who shipped it to me thru his dealer because he had no C&R.  He used his dealer FFL# so i could log it in my book.  Something doesn't sound right it has to go from log book to log book no matter what thats what i was lead to believe.   BigBill
