The big green truck showed up with new traps
« on: October 07, 2004, 12:42:31 PM »
UPS truck just dropped off some new traps.I ordered some #2 Dukes,offset,#2 Bridgers, offset and #3 Victors, offset .The Bridgers have the widest jaw spread, across the dog. Both the Victors and Bridgers are built heavier. The Dukes seem plenty strong enough, just concerned about the baseplates being heavy enough.Because of family units having larger home territories I end up with more lines out which leads to longer check times. This is the first time I've ever seen my wife excited about traps!!Got 3 days off,I'll be boiling, adjusting and waxing traps.I found a pocket of Red Fox east of me that I can get into.I sure wish work didn't have to interfere with important stuff like trapping!
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!

Asa, if you read closely you'll see that the traps were his wife's.  Old Coyotereo is banned to the skining shed this season.  Roomur has it he has been fibbling about his doctor releasing him to trap.

Now, now, now, Coyotereo its not nice to take trapping spots from a lady.  You told us that she, your loving beautiful wife, was going to run your line.  Now, you are going to take all the prime spots away from her...SHAME THRICE SHAME    :(

Rdfx  I live in the extreme Northeast corner of the state.I'm so close to Canada I getting fluent in Canadian, Aye. While out by the shop cutting chain this afternoon I saw 2 bunches of swans migrating south. It's frost or ice on stuff every morning.  Hey Bog do you want your steak marinated in Moundmaster#1 ?

Alright on your locale coyotero.  I think Bog would prefer if you would marinate that steak in coffee, maybe even roll it in coffee grounds instead of salt and pepper.   One thing about Bog  the man can set a trap and drink coffee at the same time :)

Coyotereo you really ought to try some cable stakes.  I like the POGO type but there a number of styles that work well.

I thought UPS was brown?

If a tree falls in the woods and my wife is not there to hear it...is it still my fault?
